Job Overview
The Scientist I – Protein Biology role is part of the Antibody Development team, focusing on the design, engineering, and validation of high-quality antibodies for research applications. This position requires hands-on expertise in molecular biology, protein biology, and immunology to support innovative product development and scientific advancement.

Key Responsibilities

Antibody Development & Research

  • Contribute to recombinant antibody design and development programs

  • Execute experiments using molecular, protein, and cell biology techniques

  • Support antibody purification, conjugation, and validation workflows

  • Ensure high specificity and performance of developed reagents

Experimental Execution & Documentation

  • Plan and perform experiments aligned with project timelines and objectives

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, data sheets, and notebooks

  • Analyze and interpret experimental data for decision-making

Scientific Learning & Collaboration

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in antibody engineering and immunology

  • Present scientific findings through reports and team discussions

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Quality & Compliance

  • Follow laboratory best practices and maintain high attention to detail

  • Adhere to project timelines, SOPs, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences with 0–4 years of experience, OR

  • PhD in Life Sciences (submitted within the last 1 year)

  • Strong academic background in molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Experience in recombinant antibody development (preferred)

  • Ability to isolate and process cells (PBMCs, splenocytes)

  • Experience in mammalian cell culture, including primary and cancer cell lines

  • Knowledge of immunology and flow cytometry; cell sorting experience is an advantage

  • Hands-on experience with ELISA and other immunoassays

  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, plasmid construction, ligation, and sequencing

  • Understanding of antibody development platforms is desirable

  • Proficiency in MS Office and statistical tools like GraphPad Prism
