Job Overview
The Scientist I – Protein Biology role is part of the Antibody Development team, focusing on the design, engineering, and validation of high-quality antibodies for research applications. This position requires hands-on expertise in molecular biology, protein biology, and immunology to support innovative product development and scientific advancement.
Key Responsibilities
Antibody Development & Research
Contribute to recombinant antibody design and development programs
Execute experiments using molecular, protein, and cell biology techniques
Support antibody purification, conjugation, and validation workflows
Ensure high specificity and performance of developed reagents
Experimental Execution & Documentation
Plan and perform experiments aligned with project timelines and objectives
Maintain accurate laboratory records, data sheets, and notebooks
Analyze and interpret experimental data for decision-making
Scientific Learning & Collaboration
Stay updated with the latest developments in antibody engineering and immunology
Present scientific findings through reports and team discussions
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Quality & Compliance
Follow laboratory best practices and maintain high attention to detail
Adhere to project timelines, SOPs, and quality standards
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences with 0–4 years of experience, OR
PhD in Life Sciences (submitted within the last 1 year)
Strong academic background in molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry
Technical Skills & Experience
Experience in recombinant antibody development (preferred)
Ability to isolate and process cells (PBMCs, splenocytes)
Experience in mammalian cell culture, including primary and cancer cell lines
Knowledge of immunology and flow cytometry; cell sorting experience is an advantage
Hands-on experience with ELISA and other immunoassays
Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, plasmid construction, ligation, and sequencing
Understanding of antibody development platforms is desirable
Proficiency in MS Office and statistical tools like GraphPad Prism
