About the Team – Antibody Development

The Antibody Development team specializes in the engineering and development of high-quality antibodies with a strong emphasis on reagent specificity, reproducibility, and performance. Core activities include antibody design, development, purification, conjugation, and validation across diverse immunoassay platforms. The team’s objective is advanced product development supported by robust scientific data for global research applications.

Role Overview

The Scientist II – Protein Biology will play a key technical and leadership role within the antibody development team. This position requires strong expertise in immunology, molecular biology, and protein biology, with a focus on driving innovation, leading experimental workflows, and contributing scientific direction to antibody development programs.

Experience Required

  • Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant industry or academic experience, or

  • PhD with 2+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience in protein biology, immunology, or molecular biology

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to antibody development projects using recombinant DNA and protein engineering approaches

  • Provide scientific input and technical direction across antibody development workflows

  • Design and execute experiments, analyze complex data sets, and present findings in written and oral formats

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in immunology and cell sorting, supporting innovation and cross-functional collaboration

  • Guide and mentor team members through technical problem-solving and best laboratory practices

  • Support development and optimization of standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Identify experimental deviations, troubleshoot issues, and propose alternative scientific strategies

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance antibody development programs

Required Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience in cell analysis techniques, including flow cytometry, imaging, and western blotting

  • Hands-on expertise in molecular biology workflows such as high-throughput cloning, PCR, restriction digestion, ligation, transformation, plasmid preparation, and sequencing

  • Experience in tissue processing and cell isolation, particularly mammalian PBMCs and mouse splenocytes

  • Working knowledge of protein biology, including antigen design, protein expression, purification, and conjugation

  • Hands-on experience with monoclonal antibody development technologies such as single B-cell sorting, phage display, or recombinant antibody platforms is highly desirable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and statistical analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism

  • Experience authoring SOPs and technical documentation

  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications and familiarity with emerging research techniques is preferred
