About the Antibody Development Team

The Antibody Development team is at the forefront of protein and antibody engineering, focusing on the design, development, validation, and optimization of high-quality antibodies. The team applies advanced molecular biology, protein biology, and biophysical characterization techniques to deliver robust, research-grade and application-ready products.


Role Overview

The Scientist II – Protein Biology will play a key role in advancing antibody and protein engineering programs. This position requires a high degree of scientific independence, technical depth, and the ability to translate research concepts into validated products. The Scientist II will lead experimental workflows, contribute to product development strategies, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality scientific outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently plan, design, and execute protein biology and antibody development experiments

  • Lead antibody engineering workflows from concept through validation and product readiness

  • Apply advanced protein characterization techniques to evaluate antibody performance, affinity, and specificity

  • Support and mentor junior scientists and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

  • Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data through technical reports and scientific presentations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, improve product quality, and drive continuous improvement

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and scientific guidance to resolve complex experimental challenges

  • Ensure strict adherence to GLP, laboratory safety standards, and quality systems


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry or research experience,
    OR

  • PhD in Life Sciences with at least 2 years of postdoctoral or industry experience

  • Educational background in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Protein Design, or Protein Engineering


Required Technical Expertise

  • Extensive hands-on experience with antibody development platforms including hybridoma, single B-cell, and recombinant antibody technologies

  • Strong knowledge of molecular biology, cell biology, protein engineering, immunoassays, and protein conjugation

  • Experience with biophysical characterization techniques such as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) and Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI)

  • Expertise in antibody characterization including affinity measurements, epitope binning, and structure-function analysis

  • Proven experience in protein expression systems, protein purification, and protein–protein interaction studies

  • Proficiency in high-throughput molecular biology workflows including cloning, plasmid construction, PCR, restriction digestion, ligation, transformation, and sequencing

  • Strong experience with biochemical and immunoassay techniques such as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC)


Preferred Skills and Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in antibody or protein conjugation chemistry

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex scientific problems independently

  • Proficiency in molecular biology and sequence analysis software, MS Office applications, and statistical tools such as GraphPad Prism

  • Authorship or co-authorship of peer-reviewed scientific publications

  • Strong understanding of standard and emerging research protocols

  • GLP experience is mandatory


Work Environment and Safety

  • Laboratory-based role requiring the use of personal protective equipment, including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and other required PPE

  • Compliance with all laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory standards
