Job Overview

Sanofi is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate – Evidence Synthesis (Clinical Outcome Assessments) to join its growing team in Hyderabad. This role is pivotal in integrating the patient perspective into clinical research by generating high-quality COA evidence to support regulatory, reimbursement, and strategic decision-making across global and local markets.

Role Summary

The Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA) team operates within Sanofi’s Global R&D under the Patient-Informed Development & Health Value Translation (PID & HVT) function. The Evidence Synthesis team in Hyderabad supports global COA evidence generation, enabling robust patient-centric outcome strategies aligned with regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA) and value demonstration.


Key Responsibilities

Evidence Synthesis & COA Strategy

  • Execute evidence synthesis activities including literature search strategy development, screening, and data extraction

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of disease areas and treatment paradigms using primary and secondary research

  • Independently generate evidence supporting fit-for-purpose COA instrument selection, development, and validation

  • Conduct gap analyses, psychometric validation, statistical analyses, and COA implementation planning

  • Contribute to optimized COA endpoint strategies aligned with Best-in-Class / First-in-Class product development

Scientific & Regulatory Deliverables

  • Prepare high-quality scientific documents including reports, regulatory dossiers, briefing books, and publications

  • Support development of COA dossiers and provide strategic input for regulatory submissions

  • Contribute to Target Value Propositions with patient-centric outcome messaging

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to guide team members on evidence synthesis and COA execution

  • Collaborate with global COA leads across multiple time zones

  • Work closely with HEVA, RWE, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and External Affairs teams

  • Support customized deliverables aligned with stakeholder evidence needs

Process & Innovation

  • Contribute to development and standardization of COA evidence generation processes, templates, and best practices

  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and global evidence generation guidelines

  • Identify opportunities to innovate COA evidence generation and dissemination to enhance regulatory and reimbursement impact


Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, Health Outcomes Research, or a related discipline

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in COA science, evidence synthesis, or outcomes research

  • Hands-on experience in COA data analysis, development, validation, or endpoint strategy within pharma, CRO, consultancy, or academia

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data

  • Expertise in translating COA data into evidence strategies and value messages

  • Experience with literature reviews, qualitative research, and psychometric validation

Soft Skills

  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills

  • Strong scientific writing and communication abilities

  • Ability to work independently while leading and delivering complex projects

Language

  • Exceptional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
