Job Summary
Amgen is hiring a Senior Associate – Incentive Compensation to join its on-site Hyderabad team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and calculation of sales incentive compensation plans. The candidate will be responsible for translating business rules into compensation logic, conducting detailed calculations and data validations using SQL, Excel, and commercial IC platforms. The role also requires strong analytical skills to evaluate plan effectiveness and performance distribution.
Ideal candidates will have 5–9 years of experience in incentive compensation operations within the pharmaceutical industry or consulting domain.
Key Responsibilities
Administer approved incentive compensation (IC) plans across commercial functions
Translate IC rules into business logic and calculation models
Extract, transform, and validate sales and performance data
Execute quarterly and annual IC calculations using IC tools (Zaidyn, SalesIQ, Mainsail)
Generate payout statements and documentation for finance and sales teams
Ensure compliance with audit and SOX documentation standards
Act as point-of-contact for IC inquiries and escalation resolution
Analyze IC plan effectiveness, payout fairness, and territory alignment
Collaborate with sales operations and IT on platform enhancements
Prepare IC documentation, training materials, and internal communications
Required Skills and Qualifications
5 to 9 years of relevant experience in incentive compensation, preferably in pharma or consulting
Strong knowledge of IC tools like Zaidyn, SalesIQ, Mainsail
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and other data tools
Proven ability to troubleshoot data issues and ensure data integrity
Understanding of IC governance and documentation standards
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Team-oriented mindset with ability to work independently
