About the Job:
Join Sanofi as a Senior Biomarker Biostatistician in Hyderabad and be at the forefront of innovation within our Global Statistics Team. Your role will center on the development and application of statistical and machine learning algorithms to extract meaningful insights from complex clinical biomarker datasets. Your work will drive evidence generation for critical decision-making, shaping the future of healthcare innovation at Sanofi.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Study Design Support: Provide expert input on biomarker strategies during clinical study design and protocol development to ensure robust data capture and analysis potential.
External Vendor Oversight: Coordinate with CROs and external partners for biomarker data generation, processing, and analytics.
Data Preprocessing: Handle complex biomarker datasets including RNAseq, scRNAseq, Olink, and flow cytometry through normalization and preprocessing workflows.
Programming & QC Coordination: Collaborate with programming teams to define derived variables, ensure documentation, and implement quality control plans.
Biomarker Analysis: Execute or oversee statistical analysis per SAP guidelines and provide interpretation and insights for CSRs and scientific publications.
Exploratory & Ad-hoc Analysis: Lead exploratory and on-demand analyses to uncover patterns or support evolving research questions.
About You:
Experience:
Master’s with 2+ years or PhD with 1+ year in pharmaceutical or related industry
Technical Skills:
Understanding of clinical development processes
Strong grasp of high-dimensional statistics and omics data (RNAseq, scRNAseq, etc.)
Familiarity with pathway/network analysis is a plus
Proficient in R, R-Shiny; knowledge of Python, C++ is an asset
Ability to work in a high-performance computing environment
Soft Skills:
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Experience working in global, cross-functional teams
Education:
Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
Languages:
Excellent written and spoken English
