About the Job:
Join Sanofi as a Senior Biomarker Biostatistician and play a pivotal role in shaping data insights within the Statistics Team at our Hyderabad Hub. Your expertise will fuel clinical biomarker research and decision-making by developing and applying statistical and machine learning algorithms to interpret high-dimensional omics data. You’ll collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and optimal analysis pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Study Design Input: Contribute to biomarker-related aspects of clinical study design, including protocol development and data setup for meaningful statistical analysis.
CRO Coordination: Oversee the work of external partners for biomarker data generation and statistical processing.
Data Management: Execute data preprocessing and normalization for biomarker datasets (RNAseq, scRNAseq, Olink, flow cytometry, etc.).
Variable Definition & QC: Collaborate with programmers to define derived variables and implement quality control plans.
Statistical Analysis Execution: Perform or coordinate statistical analyses based on SAP, and guide interpretation for CSRs and publications.
Exploratory Analyses: Conduct ad-hoc and exploratory analyses to support project goals and publications.
About You:
Experience:
Master’s + 2 years or PhD + 1 year in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
Technical Skills:
Proficient in high-dimensional statistics and omics data analysis
Familiarity with R, R-Shiny (plus Python, C++ as a bonus)
Knowledge of pathway-level and network analyses is a plus
Understanding of biomarker data lifecycle and statistical integrity in clinical settings
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Team-oriented with the ability to function in cross-functional global teams
Education:
Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
Languages:
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
