Senior Biostatistician – Remote (India)

Job Summary
ICON plc, a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization, is hiring a Senior Biostatistician for a remote-based role across India. This is an exciting opportunity for statistical professionals with a strong foundation in SAS or R programming, clinical data analysis, and regulatory compliance to support global pharmaceutical and biotechnology studies across development and post-marketing phases.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert statistical input in the analysis, design, interpretation, and communication of data from clinical trials and product development
Develop and maintain standard statistical analysis tools and templates aligned with regulatory and industry standards
Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, ADaM, and other relevant guidelines for biostatistical deliverables
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to support product development across therapeutic areas
Contribute to statistical requirements for clinical study protocols and statistical analysis plans
Participate in the review of data output, validation, and reporting of study results
Required Skills & Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Statistics or a related field
Minimum 3 years (PhD) or 5 years (Master’s) of relevant experience in biostatistics within the pharmaceutical or CRO sector
Strong programming expertise in SAS and/or R
Working knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and ADaM standards
Familiarity with regulatory expectations for clinical data reporting and submissions
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills to support collaboration with global teams
