Senior Clinical Bioinformatics Data Scientist – Remote USA
Job Summary:
IQVIA is hiring a Senior Clinical Bioinformatics Data Scientist to support biomarker and translational research using real-world data. This home-based role focuses on complex analyses of clinic-genomic and observational datasets across oncology, virology, and immunology. Ideal for professionals with a bioinformatics background and strong programming skills in SAS, R, Python, and Shell.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct complex analyses using real-world observational and clinico-genomic datasets (e.g., TCGA, Tempus).
Develop study protocols and statistical analysis plans.
Collaborate with biomarker scientists and cross-functional teams.
Communicate findings via presentations, abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Doctorate in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, data science, or related field with 1–3 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree with 5–7 years of experience.
Experience in observational studies and multi-omics database analysis.
Proficient in SAS, R, Python, and Shell scripting.
Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines and tools.
Understanding of statistical methods including multivariate analysis.
Exposure to cloud computing environments.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques for data mining is a plus.
Familiarity with databases such as TCGA and Tempus.
Experience with healthcare data such as EHRs and claims data is advantageous.
Strong understanding of immuno-oncology, survival analysis, and treatment outcomes.
