Senior Clinical Programmer (Rave + Custom Function) – Pune, India
Job Summary:
Syneos Health is seeking a skilled Senior Clinical Programmer with hands-on experience in iMedidata Rave and custom function programming. Based in Pune, this role focuses on clinical database design, edit check programming, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality data capture and reporting in clinical trials. If you're experienced in Rave study build, SQL/SAS/R programming, and data compliance, this is your opportunity to thrive in a global biopharma environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and test clinical database design using iMedidata Rave
Develop and implement advanced custom functions for eCRFs
Ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance across systems
Coordinate business reporting and maintain dashboards for regional/global use
Provide technical support to internal data management teams
Present technical documentation and reports to stakeholders and clients
Lead process improvements, ensuring timely and effective programming execution
Participate in cross-functional project meetings to ensure alignment on database design and programming tasks
Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and technical manuals
Troubleshoot and resolve database and programming issues
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of experience in iMedidata Rave programming (eCRF design, study build, edit checks, migration)
Strong expertise in custom function programming
Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or R
Solid understanding of clinical database design and validation
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently and lead technical aspects of clinical data programming
Certifications Preferred:
Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM)
SAS Certified Professional or equivalent
