Job Description
Role Summary:
The Senior Coder is responsible for coding or auditing patient charts and diagnosis reports, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met in accordance with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform coding or auditing of medical charts based on project requirements
Clear production and pending reports regularly
Collaborate closely with team leaders to ensure smooth workflow
Monitor and respond to email updates promptly
Escalate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors in a timely manner
Maintain strict compliance with company policies and procedures
Meet daily and monthly productivity and quality benchmarks
Apply client-specific instructions and updates during the coding process
Prepare and maintain all relevant coding reports and documentation
Job Requirements
6 months to 3 years of professional experience in Medical Coding
Strong understanding of medical coding concepts, guidelines, and standards
Ability to interpret and apply client specifications accurately
Experience with coding tools and medical documentation systems (EMR)
Attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in coding work
