Based in India, SBO partners with Medical, HEVA, and Commercial teams worldwide to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Content Writer – Learning Design & Development to create scientifically accurate, engaging, and instructionally sound learning content for diverse global audiences. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in scientific writing, pharmaceutical communication, and instructional content development, who are capable of leading content initiatives while mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Performance
Lead the creation of scientifically rigorous learning content, including eLearning modules, presentations, assessments, and workshop materials.
Translate complex scientific and therapeutic information into clear, engaging, and learner-focused content.
Ensure all learning materials align with business objectives, scientific accuracy, and training goals.
Continuously refine content based on learner feedback, performance metrics, and evolving best practices.
Learning Design & Process
Apply instructional design principles to structure effective and impactful learning experiences.
Manage end-to-end content development from initial draft to final delivery, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Support continuous improvement by exploring new digital learning tools, methodologies, and trends.
Recommend enhancements to content delivery methods to improve learner engagement and outcomes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and internal stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
Customize learning materials for different therapeutic areas, functions, and audience profiles.
Act as a content partner to cross-functional teams across global geographies.
People & Team Contribution
Mentor and guide junior content writers, ensuring adherence to quality and scientific standards.
Collaborate with peers and senior team members to enhance overall content development processes.
Share insights, best practices, and constructive feedback to strengthen team capability.
Required Experience & Qualifications
6–7 years of experience in scientific content writing, medical communication, or learning content development within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences industry, or academia.
Proven ability to work independently on complex content assignments while collaborating in team-based environments.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education
Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Pharma Marketing, or a related discipline.
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong foundation in scientific and therapeutic concepts, with the ability to interpret and simplify complex data.
Exposure to instructional design methodologies, learning management systems (LMS), or content authoring tools is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
