Senior Data Retrieval Specialist – Mumbai, India
Job Summary:
Abbott is hiring a Senior Data Retrieval Specialist for its Global Pharmacovigilance (GPV) team in Mumbai. This position is responsible for retrieving and managing high-quality safety data from the Global Safety Database. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in SQL programming, experience in safety database querying, and a passion for data integrity in pharmaceutical safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Retrieve and manage safety data using validated and ad hoc queries (e.g., PSUR listings).
Ensure delivery of data in the correct quality, timeline, and format for various GPV functions.
Support the business in generating safety data aligned with Abbott SOPs and applicable regulations.
Work closely with team leads to produce audit-ready safety reports.
Ensure compliance with global regulatory and internal safety data standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in IT, documentation sciences, or related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in data retrieval from a safety database (mandatory).
Advanced SQL programming skills (mandatory).
Prior IT experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including validated systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
Familiarity with ISOtrain curriculum-based training.
