About the Role
Novo Nordisk is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to drive the development and deployment of advanced AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions that transform healthcare outcomes.
In this role, you will work on cutting-edge AI initiatives supporting diabetes, obesity, and other chronic disease therapeutic areas. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, healthcare experts, data engineers, and AI teams to build scalable, production-grade solutions that improve patient engagement, healthcare professional interactions, commercial effectiveness, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics
Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models.
Build predictive models for consumer analytics, demand forecasting, personalization, and business performance optimization.
Apply advanced statistical techniques to solve complex healthcare and commercial challenges.
Develop scalable analytical solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.
Generative AI & Large Language Models (LLMs)
Design and implement LLM-powered applications and solutions.
Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures for enterprise knowledge management.
Develop intelligent AI assistants, healthcare chatbots, and content analysis platforms.
Fine-tune foundation models using techniques such as PEFT and LoRA.
Implement agentic AI workflows using LangChain, LlamaIndex, and similar frameworks.
AI-Powered Healthcare Solutions
Develop AI solutions supporting healthcare professionals (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Create intelligent systems for literature review, content generation, and medical information retrieval.
Build targeted engagement and campaign optimization engines.
Enhance patient engagement through personalized AI-driven recommendations.
Statistical Analysis & Business Insights
Analyze campaign effectiveness and commercial performance.
Evaluate healthcare utilization patterns and patient journeys.
Perform hypothesis testing, causal inference, and advanced statistical modeling.
Generate actionable insights from structured and unstructured healthcare data.
Data Engineering & MLOps
Develop and manage end-to-end data science pipelines.
Work with modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
Implement MLOps best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Ensure model scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
Data Platforms & Technology Enablement
Build solutions using platforms such as:
Snowflake
Dataiku
Cloud-based AI ecosystems
Optimize data processing and model execution workflows.
Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy regulations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Translate business challenges into AI and data science solutions.
Collaborate with commercial, healthcare, and technology teams.

Required Qualifications
