Senior Drug Safety Physician

Role Responsibilities:

Medical Review: Conduct thorough reviews of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) for accuracy, medical relevance, and consistency with supporting documents per client requirements.
Adverse Event Evaluation: Assess adverse event reports for seriousness, listedness/expectedness, ensure correct coding, and include all relevant information from source documents. Provide causality assessments and rectify coding as needed.
Data Integrity: Confirm and correct coding in medical history, lab details, and indications. Ensure comprehensive medical sign-off on cases.
Follow-Up: Ensure appropriate follow-up questions are sent based on case needs.
Quality Tracking: Monitor and address inconsistencies in data entry and QC review activities, providing feedback and identifying learnings per client requirements and agreed standards.

Requirements:

Skills: Strong cognitive abilities, including verbal reasoning, attention to detail, critical thinking, scientific accuracy, and analytical ability.
Communication: Excellent comprehension, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to present medical data accurately both verbally and in writing.
Experience: Knowledge of disease pathology, pharmacology, and therapeutics. Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry principles and pharmacovigilance is preferred but not required.
Medical Expertise: Understanding of medical terminology, ability to critically evaluate medical data, and summarize information effectively.
Leadership: Proven mentoring and training skills. Ability to identify, prioritize, and delegate tasks while exercising good judgment within policies and regulations.
