Job Overview
Novo Nordisk is seeking a highly skilled Senior Global Scientific Advisor to join its Global Medical Affairs – Medical Communications team based in Bangalore. This role is ideal for experienced life sciences professionals with a strong background in clinical research, medical communication, and global stakeholder engagement. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with international medical leaders and contribute to high-impact global medical education initiatives.
About the Department
Medical Communications is part of Global Medical Affairs, Product & Portfolio Strategy, headquartered in Denmark and supported by Global Business Services (GBS) in Bangalore, India. The team includes global scientific advisors, project managers, and creative specialists who collaborate with Global Medical Affairs teams worldwide. The department specializes in scientific content development, medical education strategy, and project management for global medical events, with a strong focus on scientific accuracy, compliance, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver high-quality, accurate, and scientifically credible medical communication materials for internal and external stakeholders
Support global medical affairs initiatives through back-end coordination and on-site execution of medical events
Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration among medical affairs teams, project managers, and medical illustrators
Proactively engage in scientific exchange and long-term relationships with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
Partner with global medical affairs teams to execute medical education and communication strategies
Present clinical and scientific data at global meetings, symposia, and advisory boards
Contribute to consistent, compliant, and impactful communication of product clinical profiles
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or PharmD with strong clinical and/or research expertise in relevant therapeutic areas such as Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, or General Practice
Minimum 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
Demonstrated research experience, including scientific publications
Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven stakeholder engagement experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for scientific presentations
Fluency in spoken and written English
