Position Overview:
This is a high-impact role leading the Global HEOR Economic Modeling team, responsible for the development of innovative and scientifically sound health economic models. These models will directly support Amgen's global market access and pricing strategies across its portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Global HEOR Economic Modelers.
Guide development of models such as cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, Markov, partitioned survival, budget impact, and more.
Ensure strategic alignment with HEOR Therapeutic Area Heads and cross-functional stakeholders.
Innovate and standardize health economic modeling techniques.
Maintain a deep understanding of HTA and payer requirements in key global markets.
Ensure quality control, documentation standards, and compliance.
Contribute to recruiting, training, and performance management.
Continuously improve tools, workflows, and methodologies.
Basic Qualifications (one of the following):
Doctorate degree + 2 years of experience in health economic modeling
Master’s degree + 8–10 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree + 10–14 years of experience
Diploma + 14–18 years of experience
Relevant fields: Health Economics, Econometrics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience managing or leading a team
Demonstrated experience supporting global HTA submissions
Strong expertise with modeling/statistics software: Excel, R, SAS, STATA
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Deep knowledge of payer landscapes and evidence needs
Strong project management, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills
Experience leveraging AI or automation in modeling workflows is a plus
