About the Role
Cactus Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Medical Writer – Medical Information to develop high-quality scientific, medical, and educational content for global pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. This role combines scientific expertise with medical communication and offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of medical writing projects while collaborating with international stakeholders and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Key Responsibilities
Medical Writing & Content Development
Develop, review, proofread, data-check, and finalize high-quality scientific and medical content.
Prepare materials including:
Abstracts
Posters
Manuscripts
Slide Decks
Medical Information Letters
Standard Response Letters
Training Materials
Infographics
Congress & Meeting Materials
Literature Reviews
HCP Engagement Content
Ensure content is scientifically accurate, audience-appropriate, and client-ready.
Review & Mentorship
Review materials prepared by scientific writers for scientific accuracy and strategic alignment.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members.
Mentor and train writers by sharing best practices and client preferences.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical clients, healthcare professionals, authors, reviewers, and KOLs.
Participate in client discussions and provide scientific and strategic recommendations.
Anticipate client requirements and suggest improvements to scientific communication initiatives.
Medical Communications & Digital Content
Support development of digital medical communication projects including:
Publication Extenders
Website Content
Interactive Assets
Patient Narratives
Medical Information Engagement Plans
Data Visualization Content
Contribute innovative approaches and creative solutions for medical communication projects.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with client requirements, SOPs, style guides, templates, and internal quality standards.
Maintain document consistency and ensure all content remains updated and compliant.
Scientific Support
Perform literature searches and evidence evaluations.
Stay updated with developments across therapeutic areas and scientific disciplines.
Provide scientific input across multiple document types.
Business Support
Support proposal development and client pitches.
Participate in workshops, training programs, and external meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
Education
PhD (Life Sciences) OR
MD (Pharmacology) OR
PharmD OR
M.Pharm / M.Sc with strong clinical research and medical communication knowledge.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in Scientific Writing, Medical Writing, or Medical Communications.
Experience working on pharmaceutical or healthcare-related projects.
Experience with Global Medical Value (GMV) Dossiers is preferred.
