Position Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Senior PV Programmer Analyst to join its Safety Technical Operations team. This role focuses on leading the implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of the Oracle Argus Safety System, playing a critical part in supporting pharmacovigilance technology infrastructure. The position is fully remote with working hours aligned to the second shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation, support, and upgrades of the Oracle Argus Safety System and its integrations
Perform impact assessments for Argus upgrades and execute the upgrade process
Configure Axway and manage gateway setup with multiple health authorities and partners
Resolve technical issues through configuration and system troubleshooting
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior team members
Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure performance and compliance
Must-Have Skills:
5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Argus Safety System and related interfaces
Proven ability to manage full-cycle Argus system upgrades and configuration
Strong experience with Axway configuration and gateway setup
Expertise in troubleshooting and performance optimization
Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
Good-to-Have Skills:
Prior experience with Argus suite hosting and installation, including Oracle Analytics/OBIEE
Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and database customizations in pharmacovigilance systems
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
A demonstrated record of successful Argus implementations and technical operations leadership
