Position Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Senior PV Programmer Analyst to join its Safety Technical Operations team. This role focuses on leading the implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of the Oracle Argus Safety System, playing a critical part in supporting pharmacovigilance technology infrastructure. The position is fully remote with working hours aligned to the second shift.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation, support, and upgrades of the Oracle Argus Safety System and its integrations

  • Perform impact assessments for Argus upgrades and execute the upgrade process

  • Configure Axway and manage gateway setup with multiple health authorities and partners

  • Resolve technical issues through configuration and system troubleshooting

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to junior team members

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure performance and compliance


Must-Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Argus Safety System and related interfaces

  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle Argus system upgrades and configuration

  • Strong experience with Axway configuration and gateway setup

  • Expertise in troubleshooting and performance optimization

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities


Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Prior experience with Argus suite hosting and installation, including Oracle Analytics/OBIEE

  • Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and database customizations in pharmacovigilance systems


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • A demonstrated record of successful Argus implementations and technical operations leadership
