Responsibilities:
Sample water and test as per SOPs for routine checks, loop qualification, and validation samples.
Perform data analysis and prepare microbiology test result reports for submission.
Manage the destruction/decontamination/washing of tested samples, media, and materials.
Maintain reconciliation records for microbiology media and consumables.
Trend result data related to water and environmental monitoring.
Report any deviations, incidents, or failed results to the immediate superior/Micro Head, and participate in investigations.
Prepare requisition lists for lab requirements and maintain lab equipment.
Prepare and execute method validation protocols and compile results into reports.
Coordinate for maintenance and calibration of lab equipment, ensuring all calibrations and validations are done on schedule.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lab while adhering to Good Laboratory Practices.
Participate in the preparation and execution of audits in coordination with QA.
Monitor room temperature, differential pressure, and prepare disinfectants as required.
Test raw materials, finished products, in-process samples, and stability samples.
Perform bioassays and assist in isolate identification programs.
Maintain standard microbiological cultures and perform area monitoring.
Carry out environmental monitoring (viable count) and prepare sterile culture media.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while testing.
Assist with any specific work or assignments as designated by the Section Head or Department Head.
