Senior Statistical Programmer – SAS/R – Pune
Job Summary
Syneos Health is seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer with over 5 years of experience in clinical trial programming using SAS, R, or Python. This role is key to delivering high-quality statistical outputs for regulatory submissions and client reporting. You'll lead programming projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to innovation in statistical methodologies. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain programming standards and best practices for clinical trials.
Collaborate with statisticians and stakeholders to design and deliver statistical outputs.
Create statistical tables, listings, and graphs (TLGs) as per specifications.
Conduct and lead code reviews; ensure quality and compliance with GCP and ICH guidelines.
Mentor and support junior programmers within the team.
Resolve complex programming issues and ensure timely delivery of datasets and reports.
Continuously improve tools, templates, and processes to optimize programming efficiency.
Provide guidance in using advanced statistical methodologies and software.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to project planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of statistical programming experience in clinical research or pharma.
Proficient in SAS (Base and Advanced), with experience in R and/or Python preferred.
Strong knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis, and regulatory requirements.
Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
SAS Certified Advanced Programmer certification preferred.
