Role Overview:
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Medical Advisor to join its Immunology Medical Team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will contribute to the strategic and operational execution of the immunology portfolio and collaborate across teams to drive evidence generation and scientific advancements. You'll also help facilitate the introduction of new pipeline products and enhance access to in-market products by establishing relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Medical Strategy & Plans: Design and implement robust medical affairs strategies for immunology, aligning with global and regional MAF strategies.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, regulatory, medical education, and other teams to ensure alignment with the overall brand strategy and medical objectives.
KOL Engagement & Relationships: Develop and maintain strategies for engaging KOLs, scientific bodies, and institutes to promote product awareness and scientific value.
Support Evidence Generation: Lead the development of data generation plans and activities to fill data gaps and improve patient outcomes in alignment with brand strategy.
Medical Education & Materials Development: Provide medical input for promotional, educational, and disease state materials, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Mentorship & Team Development: Support and mentor MSLs to improve team performance and ensure alignment with scientific and medical objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Facilitate the introduction and access to new products by collaborating with external stakeholders like clinicians, allied health professionals, and patient groups.
Travel: Expect to travel 20-25% of the time for stakeholder meetings and key medical/scientific events.
Qualifications:
Education: Medical Degree (MBBS/MD). Additional qualifications in public health or business management are preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a strong background in medical affairs.
Skills & Knowledge:
Deep understanding of clinical research, data generation, and analysis.
Proven track record in driving KOL engagement and managing medical activities.
Strong commercial acumen and cross-functional collaboration experience.
Understanding of regulatory policies and the pharmaceutical industry's code of practice.
