Job Overview

Cognizant is seeking a Specialist in Accounts Receivable (AR) Management – Healthcare to join our Hyderabad team. This hybrid role focuses on managing receivables for healthcare products, ensuring timely collections, accurate reporting, and compliance with industry standards. The role operates on night shifts and does not require travel.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in accounts receivable, financial analysis, and healthcare operations to drive efficiency and optimize cash flow.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable processes to ensure timely collection from healthcare clients.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in receivable management.

  • Collaborate with healthcare product teams to align AR strategies with product offerings and business goals.

  • Implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables, improve cash flow, and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Communicate effectively with clients to resolve payment issues while maintaining positive business relationships.

  • Monitor AR aging reports and take proactive measures to address overdue accounts.

  • Provide regular updates and insights to management on AR status, forecasts, and action plans.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and internal policies in all receivable activities.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for receivable processes, procedures, and audit purposes.

  • Assist in audits, reconciliations, and financial reporting related to accounts receivable.

  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to forecast receivable trends and support strategic decision-making.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of healthcare products and their impact on accounts receivable processes.

  • Expertise in AR management, billing, and financial best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and issue resolution.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and AR monitoring tools.

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards.

  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model and manage night shift responsibilities.
