The Junior Officer – Production will play a critical role in ensuring GMP-compliant manufacturing, efficient packaging operations, and adherence to quality standards.

Role Overview:
The Junior Officer – Production is responsible for operating and monitoring production and packaging equipment, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP), maintaining safety standards, and supporting the production team to achieve departmental targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and data integrity requirements in the hormone manufacturing facility.

  • Achieve monthly and yearly production targets for the department.

  • Monitor alarm systems and manage alerts as per SOPs.

  • Conduct in-process checks at various stages and verify process parameters in PLC/SCADA systems according to Batch Packing Records (BPR).

  • Operate and clean packaging machines in compliance with equipment SOPs and BPRs.

  • Identify and troubleshoot machine issues, coordinating with engineering, QA, and departmental colleagues as needed.

  • Maintain spare parts and miscellaneous items for secondary packing machines.

  • Ensure packing process compliance and proper documentation in logbooks.

  • Report safety incidents, accidents, near misses, and behavior-based safety (BBS) observations according to company policy.

  • Complete all required training and maintain updated training records.

  • Support additional responsibilities and tasks assigned by the team or HOD.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of GMP and GDP standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain packaging equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs and BPRs.

  • Commitment to safety compliance and proactive reporting of incidents.

  • Teamwork and coordination with colleagues, QA, and engineering teams.

Educational Qualification:

  • Relevant diploma or degree in pharmaceutical, chemical, or production-related fields (as per company requirements).

Experience Requirements:

  • Fresher or prior experience in pharmaceutical production/packaging is advantageous but not mandatory.
