Sr Clinical Programmer (Spotfire/Cluepoints Prog) – Syneos Health, Pune, India
Job Summary
Syneos Health, a global leader in integrated biopharmaceutical solutions, is hiring a Sr Clinical Programmer in Pune. This role involves developing and validating clinical data visualization tools and supporting data management platforms such as Spotfire, Rave, and Veeva EDC. The position offers opportunities to work on global clinical trials, supporting regulatory compliance and clinical data insights.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, validate, and maintain clinical software tools using Spotfire, Cluepoints, Medidata Rave, Oracle RDC/Inform, and SAS.
Generate specifications, code, and validate CRFs, edit checks, import/export processes, listings, and custom reports.
Lead programming activities on multiple concurrent clinical studies.
Provide technical support to programmers, data managers, and project analysts.
Oversee system integration, user acceptance testing, and application updates.
Administer clinical software applications and resolve workflow/system issues.
Review budgets, manage scope of work, and contribute to change orders.
Ensure inspection readiness by maintaining quality deliverables and documentation.
Mentor junior programmers and participate in internal and sponsor meetings.
Monitor project resources, escalating resourcing needs proactively.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in clinical programming and data visualization.
Proficiency with Spotfire/Tableau/PowerBI (Spotfire API experience is a plus).
Strong knowledge of Python/SAS/SQL programming languages.
Clinical systems experience with Medidata Rave and Veeva EDC is required.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and sponsors.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Experience with system integration and user acceptance testing.
Familiarity with Oracle RDC, SAS, PL/SQL, C#, or VB preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
