Job Summary

The Therapy Manager is responsible for managing the assigned therapy area by promoting company products to healthcare professionals, building strong customer relationships, generating business opportunities, achieving sales targets, and conducting scientific product discussions with doctors and other stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote assigned pharmaceutical products to doctors and healthcare professionals.

  • Explain product features, benefits, and scientific data effectively.

  • Handle customer queries related to products and therapies.

  • Use customer-focused selling techniques (CSSP) during sales calls.

  • Conduct regular doctor visits according to the approved coverage plan.

  • Achieve and consistently exceed assigned sales targets.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Increase product visibility through promotional activities.

  • Plan and execute field visits as per approved tour plans.

  • Maintain accurate sales reports and update the CRM/data management system.

  • Support new product launches and promotional campaigns.

  • Build relationships with hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes.

  • Coordinate CMEs, scientific meetings, speaker programs, and educational events.

  • Follow up on customer feedback and service requirements.

  • Assist in receivable collection as per company policy.

  • Stay updated on disease areas, products, and market trends.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science (Human Anatomy & Physiology) or B.Pharm.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.

  • Experience in the assigned therapeutic segment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to interpret and present data-driven insights.

  • Good customer relationship management skills.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience in vaccine sales.

  • Corporate hospital selling experience.

  • Experience working with:

    • Pediatricians

    • Obstetricians & Gynecologists (OBGYN)

    • Diabetologists

    • Pulmonologists

    • Nephrologists

  • Trade channel handling experience.

Estimated Salary Package (Market Standard)

  • Fixed CTC: ₹6 LPA – ₹10 LPA

  • Performance Incentives: ₹1 LPA – ₹3 LPA

  • Total Expected Package: ₹7 LPA – ₹13 LPA (depending on experience, territory, and current compensation)
