Role Overview

The Trainee RCO Associate – Medical Coding is an entry-level opportunity for individuals seeking to build a career in healthcare revenue cycle operations and medical coding. The role involves reviewing clinical documentation, assigning accurate medical codes, and supporting insurance claim processing to ensure compliance with healthcare coding standards and reimbursement requirements.

This position provides hands-on exposure to medical coding processes, healthcare documentation analysis, and insurance billing workflows in a structured professional environment.


Experience Required

  • Minimum 6 months of work experience in any field.

  • Freshers with relevant educational background are encouraged to apply.

  • Prior experience in healthcare, medical billing, or medical coding is an added advantage.

Note: This position is exclusively open to candidates based in Vellore.


Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline.

  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder – AAPC) certification is preferred but not mandatory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret medical records and clinical documentation.

  • Assign appropriate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and healthcare services.

  • Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with industry guidelines and regulatory standards.

  • Extract relevant information from documentation for coding and billing processes.

  • Support clean claim creation and submission for insurance reimbursement.

  • Maintain accuracy and quality in coding practices to support efficient revenue cycle management.

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology (preferred).
