Position Overview

Omega Healthcare is looking for a Trainer – Training to support its medical coding operations by delivering structured training programs, onboarding support, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous learning development for coding specialists.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong E/M coding expertise, understanding of US healthcare systems, and a passion for training, mentoring, and performance development.

The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing coder productivity, quality standards, and operational readiness.


Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Learning Development

  • Conduct end-to-end process training for medical coding specialists.
  • Deliver onboarding and induction training for newly hired coding professionals.
  • Lead structured sessions covering:
    • Medical coding workflows
    • Coding systems and standards
    • US healthcare systems
    • Industry updates
    • Client-specific coding protocols
  • Facilitate refresher and focused training sessions based on operational and quality findings.

Transition Support & Floor Assistance

  • Provide floor support during transition and ramp-up periods.
  • Ensure coding teams maintain quality standards during project onboarding and workflow stabilization.
  • Support coders in understanding client expectations and process execution.

Quality Improvement

  • Analyze coding quality findings and identify performance gaps.
  • Conduct targeted quality improvement training sessions.
  • Support operational teams in improving coding accuracy and productivity.

Knowledge Management

  • Publish monthly healthcare knowledge updates, learning articles, and educational content for coding teams.
  • Keep coders informed about:
    • Medical coding updates
    • Healthcare regulatory changes
    • Industry best practices
    • Client process enhancements

Training Material Development

  • Create, maintain, and update:
    • Presentations
    • Training decks
    • Learning manuals
    • Handbooks
    • Reference guides
    • Training documentation
    • Assessment materials

Client & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Participate in:
    • Client calls
    • Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions
    • Team meetings
    • Training discussions
    • Process alignment sessions
  • Collaborate with internal operations, quality, and delivery stakeholders.

Compliance & Onboarding

  • Ensure timely completion of:
    • Global compliance training
    • Client-required onboarding certifications
    • Mandatory training programs for new hires

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Any Graduate

Certifications (Mandatory)

Candidates must possess at least one relevant medical coding certification such as:

  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder)

  • AHIMA Certification
