Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager – Full-Service REMS to lead client programs within Global Risk Management and REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies) operations. This role is critical to ensuring REMS programs are delivered on time, within scope, on budget, and in full regulatory compliance.

The Account Manager serves as the primary client-facing leader, overseeing cross-functional teams, managing program financials, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring readiness for audits and regulatory review. This position requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and deep familiarity with REMS program execution within the biopharmaceutical industry.


Key Responsibilities

Client & Program Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and program owner for assigned Full-Service REMS programs

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and leadership teams

  • Lead cross-functional teams across operations, technology, regulatory, and program support functions

  • Translate client objectives into actionable program strategies and execution plans

Program Delivery & Execution

  • Own end-to-end program execution from start-up through close-out

  • Manage timelines, scope, resources, and budgets to ensure contractual and regulatory commitments are met

  • Prepare for and facilitate client meetings, governance reviews, and presentations

  • Ensure all deliverables meet Syneos Health and client SOPs and are maintained in an audit-ready state

  • Participate in sponsor and regulatory audits as required

Financial & Contract Management

  • Manage program financials, including revenue tracking, forecasting, and invoicing

  • Ensure accurate contract execution and alignment with scope and budget expectations

  • Monitor billable utilization and manage assigned book of business

Risk, Quality & Governance

  • Identify, escalate, and resolve program risks, issues, and scope changes proactively

  • Ensure all program requirements are clearly documented, approved, and communicated to technology and operations teams

  • Apply critical thinking and data-driven analysis to recommend improvements and contingency plans

  • Maintain consistent communication with program leadership on risks, timelines, and opportunities

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as liaison between clients, internal teams, and leadership

  • Facilitate meetings and drive alignment across matrixed teams

  • Demonstrate professional, clear, and proactive communication at all levels

Professional Contribution

  • Contribute to internal initiatives, training programs, and knowledge sharing

  • Continuously expand expertise in REMS regulations, risk management strategies, and biopharmaceutical services

  • Support a collaborative, high-performance team culture aligned with company values


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field

    • Advanced degrees (MBA, PharmD, PhD) preferred

    • PMI CAPM, PMP, or equivalent certification is a plus

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in project management, account management, or program leadership within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare services

  • Direct experience supporting REMS, risk management, or regulated healthcare programs strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: USD 110,490 – 149,486

  • Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, and role proficiency

  • Eligibility for performance-based incentives or bonuses may apply
