Position Overview

The Account Manager – Full-Service REMS is a skilled program and project leader responsible for managing client REMS programs from initiation to close-out. This role requires expertise in program delivery, cross-functional team leadership, client relationship management, and operational execution. The Account Manager ensures client objectives are met on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned REMS programs.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Translate client requirements into actionable program deliverables and approve final outputs.

  • Proactively identify potential risks, provide mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to program leadership.

Program & Project Execution

  • Lead day-to-day management of REMS programs, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality standards are maintained.

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver complex programs effectively.

  • Optimize work processes to enhance efficiency, resource allocation, and budget adherence.

  • Ensure audit-ready documentation and participate in sponsor and regulatory audits as required.

Financial Oversight & Reporting

  • Manage program budgets, invoicing, and revenue tracking.

  • Monitor financial health of programs, including scope adjustments and resource planning.

  • Prepare reports, facilitate client presentations, and provide updates to program leadership.

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

  • Apply data-driven insights and industry best practices to enhance program delivery.

  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on project execution and client engagement.

  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of REMS requirements, regulatory changes, and industry trends.

  • Foster a collaborative and professional team culture.


Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field

  • Advanced degrees (MBA, PharmD, PhD) or Project Management certifications (PMP/CAPM) preferred

Experience Level:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, program management, or project leadership within REMS, risk management, or pharmaceutical services

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional programs in a matrixed environment

Core Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of REMS program operations, ETASU, and regulatory requirements

  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize competing responsibilities, and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities

  • Professionalism, adaptability, and resilience in ambiguous or complex situations


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary: USD $110,490 – $149,486

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications

  • Eligibility for performance-based incentives or bonuses
