Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Biostatistician to join Abbott’s Medical Device Clinical Research organization. This role provides statistical expertise in study design, statistical analysis planning, data validation, and reporting. The Associate Biostatistician will support clinical study teams and external collaborators, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all statistical deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide input on clinical study protocols and statistical analysis plans.

  • Perform statistical analyses and programming to support clinical study objectives.

  • Ensure accuracy of statistical tables, listings, and report text, and identify inconsistencies or errors.

  • Validate data, prepare analysis datasets, and generate reliable statistical reports.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

  • Provide scientific insight and accurate answers to routine and nonstandard queries.

  • Support development of quality protocols, CRFs, schemas, and reports per timelines.

  • Communicate basic clinical principles and statistical concepts to non-statisticians.

  • Provide formal training and guidance to peers when needed.

  • Report critical issues to supervisors or managers promptly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (16 years of education).

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in statistical analysis or clinical research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field.

  • Experience in medical device clinical studies or regulated environments.
