Job Title: Autoclave Operator

Job Summary:
The Autoclave Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of superheated water spray sterilization equipment. They will ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and safety requirements, conduct routine equipment checks and maintenance, and maintain accurate records of sterilization activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate superheated water spray sterilization equipment according to SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine checks and record data as required by SOPs.
  • Perform cleaning, sanitizing, and calibration of equipment.
  • Accurately document all sterilization activities in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient production.
  • Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry practices and regulations.
  • Adhere to quality and safety procedures to ensure product quality and a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ITI diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating sterilization equipment, preferably in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of sterilization processes, microbiology, bioburden, and endotoxin testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and overtime as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
