Job Summary

The Field Technical Manager – Poultry is responsible for providing technical support to the sales team, conducting scientific training on poultry vaccines and animal healthcare products, managing disease surveillance, handling customer technical issues, supporting clinical trials, and strengthening relationships with veterinarians, poultry farmers, and educational institutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers and the zonal sales team across the assigned territory.

  • Conduct on-site customer visits and provide telephonic technical assistance.

  • Deliver technical training on poultry vaccines and healthcare products to Associate Field Managers and Field Managers.

  • Organize and participate in scientific seminars, customer meetings, and veterinary education programs.

  • Build strong relationships with veterinarians, poultry farmers, and key accounts.

  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to develop and execute technical service plans.

  • Keep the sales team updated on the latest poultry industry developments and scientific advancements.

  • Coordinate with the Corporate Veterinary Services and Diagnostic Laboratory teams for disease surveillance and customer support.

  • Investigate poultry disease outbreaks and resolve customer complaints with appropriate technical solutions.

  • Supervise local clinical trials and market support studies under the guidance of the Technical Head.

  • Support publication of clinical trial and market study results in scientific journals.

  • Develop and provide technical materials to strengthen sales efforts.

  • Ensure customer queries are addressed accurately and promptly.

  • Source scientific articles for publication in the company's technical knowledge resources.

  • Provide technical support for Pharmacovigilance cases and ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc. & A.H.).

  • Master's Degree in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) is preferred.

  • 1–3 years of field experience in poultry health or veterinary pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Fluency in the local language is preferred.

Estimated Salary Package (Market Standard)

  • Fixed CTC: ₹6.5 LPA – ₹10 LPA

  • Performance Incentives/Bonus: ₹1 LPA – ₹2.5 LPA

  • Total Expected Package: ₹7.5 LPA – ₹12.5 LPA (depending on experience, qualifications, and current CTC)
