Position Summary

The Coordinator, Operations is responsible for supporting daily distribution center operations and ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, service, communication, continuous improvement, and productivity goals. The role involves coordinating warehouse activities, supporting employee training, driving operational excellence, and assisting leadership in managing distribution center performance.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution Center Operations

  • Support daily coordination and execution of warehouse operations.

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for warehouse procedures and processes.

  • Monitor picking, packing, shipping, and inventory activities to ensure efficiency and compliance.

  • Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Assist in maintaining productivity, quality, and service standards.

  • Support operational continuity during equipment or system downtime.

Training & Team Development

  • Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.

  • Ensure employees are trained and certified on current procedures and job functions.

  • Support ongoing development and coaching of warehouse associates.

  • Participate in performance feedback and employee development activities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the distribution center.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, SOPs, GMP requirements, and operational procedures.

  • Report, investigate, and support resolution of safety incidents and near-miss events.

  • Ensure safe operation of warehouse equipment and material handling systems.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze warehouse workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.

  • Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across all shifts.

  • Drive consistency in operational practices and performance standards.

  • Assist in achieving departmental goals and objectives.

Leadership Support

  • Provide operational leadership and guidance to shift personnel.

  • Foster effective communication between team members and management.

  • Support supervisors and managers in daily operations and decision-making.

  • Provide coverage and operational support during the absence of the Distribution Center Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Professional logistics certifications such as P.Log or CITT are considered an asset.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in a logistics, warehouse, or distribution environment.

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.

  • Previous experience in coaching, coordinating, or leading teams is an advantage.
