Director, Cybersecurity Regulatory Affairs – Remote (Washington, DC-Based)
Job Summary:
IQVIA is hiring a Director of Cybersecurity Regulatory Affairs to support strategic client-facing initiatives in medical device cybersecurity compliance and FDA regulations. This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to influence global cybersecurity strategy across the life sciences and healthcare sectors. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in FDA cybersecurity compliance, threat modeling, and pre-market cybersecurity submissions for medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Interface with clients to develop regulatory-compliant documentation for medical device marketing applications
Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability analysis of medical devices
Provide strategic guidance for cybersecurity system testing, validation, and compliance
Review and improve client policies and procedures in line with FDA and federal cybersecurity standards
Research, track, and apply evolving cybersecurity trends and federal regulations
Stay current on US medical device regulatory and FDA cybersecurity guidance
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
5–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or FDA cybersecurity regulatory roles
3+ years in consulting or client-facing roles, preferably in healthcare or medical devices
Strong understanding of FDA pre- and post-market cybersecurity requirements
Familiarity with ISO 14971, TIR57, NIST framework, ISO 27001, CIS controls
Experience with threat modeling, ethical hacking, encryption, penetration testing
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach in dynamic environments
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
