About the Role:
Indegene is seeking a Global Medical Publications Lead to spearhead the strategic development and execution of global publication plans across diverse therapeutic areas. This senior-level role involves close collaboration with pharmaceutical clients and internal stakeholders to align scientific communication with overarching product strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-impact publications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive global publication strategies across multiple therapeutic areas.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor, aligning publication initiatives with clients’ product or disease-specific goals.

  • Ensure all publication activities are in strict adherence to GPP 2022, ICMJE, CONSORT, and relevant publication standards.

  • Supervise and mentor medical writers, ensuring scientific accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of publication materials.

  • Manage external collaborators including authors, journals, and vendors to ensure the timely execution of publication deliverables.

  • Provide internal training on publication best practices and maintain quality control of deliverables.

  • Oversee budget allocation and financial planning for all publication-related projects.

  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement within publication strategy and operations.

  • Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and excellence in scientific communication.


Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (M.D., Pharm.D., Ph.D.) or Master’s in biomedical sciences or a related field.

  • 10–12 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical communications, with at least 8 years in a publications leadership role within Medical Affairs.

  • Deep knowledge of publication planning, scientific standards (e.g., CONSORT, PRISMA, STROBE), and medical writing principles.

  • ISMPP CMPP Certification preferred.

  • Strong grasp of statistical methodologies and ability to interpret clinical data.

  • Proven leadership in managing client relationships and publication teams across geographies.

  • Strategic mindset with ability to lead innovation and adapt to industry evolution.
