Position Overview

EVERSANA is seeking a seasoned Associate Director of Global Medical Affairs to lead and manage complex medical projects, drive strategic initiatives, and contribute to the advancement of global Medical Affairs operations. This role integrates client management, project management, and leadership responsibilities to ensure high-quality delivery of medical content, MLR (Medical/Legal/Regulatory) processes, and MA operations across therapeutic areas and geographies.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with global MA leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance Medical Affairs strategy, operational excellence, and innovative solutions, while managing multi-client deliverables with teams of internal staff and external consultants.


Key Responsibilities

Project & Client Management

  • Lead complex, cross-functional Medical Affairs projects including medical content development, MLR review, MA operations, and consulting services

  • Serve as primary Client/Project Manager for assigned initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with client objectives

  • Oversee project teams comprising internal staff and external consultants, fostering collaboration and efficient resource utilization

Medical Affairs Strategy & Leadership

  • Contribute to the development and execution of Global MA strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Support innovation and solution offerings within the MA leadership team

  • Develop scalable MA models and frameworks across therapeutic areas and global regions

  • Lead thought leadership initiatives via position papers, white papers, webinars, conferences, and marketing campaigns

Operational Excellence & Innovation

  • Drive continuous improvement in MA operations, including process optimization, technology adoption, and performance metrics

  • Champion digital and AI-driven tools to enhance content delivery, stakeholder engagement, and operational efficiency

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with global stakeholders across MA, MI, Commercial, and Clinical teams to deliver integrated, best-in-class solutions

  • Ensure alignment and excellence in MA deliverables and strategic initiatives

  • Represent MA in internal and client-facing strategic discussions

Team Development & Management

  • Build, mentor, and manage high-performing MA teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and professional growth

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training for both full-time employees and consultants

  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across projects and therapeutic areas

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate strategic, long-term relationships with clients as a trusted advisor

  • Monitor client satisfaction, proactively addressing concerns to ensure retention and repeat business

  • Identify opportunities for expanding EVERSANA’s footprint with clients through innovative MA solutions

Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards

  • Maintain high ethical standards in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders

Travel: Up to 25%


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree in medical or scientific field (PharmD, MD, PhD)

Experience:

  • 5+ years in Medical Affairs within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device/diagnostic industry

  • Demonstrated project management experience, including vendor and/or technology management

  • Experience in Medical Affairs Operations & Excellence, including MI, Medical Communications, HEOR, Investigator Initiated Studies, Independent Medical Education, Evidence Generation

  • Proven ability to manage multi-client projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, Agile environment
