Description

As the IT Director, you will be instrumental in shaping our IT strategy and execution for the offshore development team while leading transformational IT initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the healthcare industry and contribute to the development of life-saving treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT Strategy and Operations: Drive strategic planning and ensure effective execution of IT initiatives for the IMT Development group.
  • Oversee IT Transformation Projects: Spearhead initiatives to modernize and optimize system development, supporting OCMO, Clinical Development, and Global Regulatory operations.
  • Cultivate a Compliance and Innovation-Focused Team Culture: Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes compliance, productivity, customer satisfaction, and continuous innovation.
  • Manage Teams of Technical Experts: Provide leadership and direction to teams, including technical product managers and software development engineers based in the Hyderabad office.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Align Business and IT Priorities: Collaborate with IMT Development leaders to align IT projects with business goals and help shape technology demands.
  • Drive Technological Evolution: Establish partnerships to drive technological advancements, focusing on digital health, data science, and genomic trends in the healthcare industry.
  • Leverage Advanced Technologies for Drug Development: Implement cutting-edge technologies to assist leadership in evaluating and adopting automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence for accelerating drug development.
  • Formulate Business-Technology Strategies: Develop and implement strategies that encompass transactional systems, automation, advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning to support comprehensive development programs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (equivalent experience considered).
  • Experience: Minimum of 15+ years in Information Technology application development and leading matrix teams in large enterprises.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in implementing advanced drug development technologies with prior leadership in IT support within the healthcare industry.
  • Technology Awareness: Familiarity with technology trends and their potential impact on the J&J system portfolio.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of global pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and clinical development regulations for medicinal products companies.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge and experience with modern technologies (Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation, Data Science, etc.).
  • Travel Requirements: 20% domestic and international travel required.
