Position Summary

The Distribution Technician is responsible for performing warehouse material handling activities, including receiving, picking, packing, storing, and shipping finished goods. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate warehouse equipment to pick customer orders and replenish inventory while ensuring product accuracy, lot number verification, and SAP system updates.

  • Pack shipments using SAP by verifying products, quantities, and lot numbers.

  • Label, wrap, weigh, and prepare skids for shipment.

  • Verify that all required shipping and order documentation is correctly attached.

  • Process shipments through a computerized freight management system.

  • Move materials efficiently to optimize warehouse storage capacity.

  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with all required training and operational procedures.

  • Receive incoming materials and verify shipment accuracy, including identifying shortages, overages, or damaged goods.

  • Report inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Analyst.

  • Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Documents (SOD), and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).

  • Complete and acknowledge all required training documentation.

  • Adhere to FDA regulations and all applicable internal and external regulatory requirements.

  • Support corporate initiatives and organizational objectives.

  • Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments as required.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve operational goals.

  • Follow all established safety, compliance, and quality standards.

  • Operate a forklift when required (training may be provided).

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Education Requirements

  • Post-secondary education is considered an asset.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • Knowledge of material handling equipment is an asset.

  • Ability to work midnight shifts and flexible schedules, including overtime when required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

  • Comfortable working at heights.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a logistics or warehouse environment preferred.

  • Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is considered an asset.
