Job Purpose
The Group Product Manager – Marketing (Aleron) will lead the strategy, execution, and performance of Central Nervous System (CNS) products. The role includes driving product lifecycle management, brand growth, market penetration, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives.


Roles and Responsibilities

Portfolio & Product Strategy

  • Lead the end-to-end product pipeline strategy, including ideation, feasibility assessment, pre-launch, launch, and post-launch lifecycle management.

  • Define long-term growth strategies for the product portfolio in alignment with corporate goals.

  • Identify business opportunities, line extensions, and lifecycle optimization initiatives.

Brand & Market Leadership

  • Develop and execute brand strategies and annual brand plans for assigned CNS products.

  • Drive market positioning, differentiation, pricing, and penetration strategies based on insights.

  • Conduct competitor benchmarking, market research, and SWOT analysis to inform strategy.

Sales Force Effectiveness & Capability Building

  • Guide sales training programs to strengthen scientific knowledge and field effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure consistent messaging, product adoption, and impactful customer interactions.

  • Participate selectively in field activities to gather market intelligence and coach teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Learning & Development teams for seamless brand execution.

  • Ensure availability of promotional materials, product dossiers, and launch tools.

  • Act as a key stakeholder in internal governance and strategic decision-making forums.

Promotional Excellence & Scientific Engagement

  • Oversee creation of high-quality promotional strategies and brand communications.

  • Guide CME programs, scientific events, advisory boards, and KOL engagement initiatives.

  • Ensure ethical compliance and strong visibility among healthcare professionals.

People Leadership & Mentoring

  • Mentor Product Managers and Assistant Product Managers, fostering capability building and performance excellence.

  • Review brand plans, campaigns, and launch readiness of team members.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration within the marketing team.

Performance Monitoring & Governance

  • Track brand KPIs including sales, market share, ROI, and prescription trends.

  • Recommend strategic course corrections based on market performance.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Pharmacy (B.Pharm/M.Pharm) or MBA with pharmaceutical specialization.

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in Brand Management, Market Strategy, and Product Launch, preferably in Central Nervous System (CNS) products.

  • Proven experience managing CNS product portfolios at a pan-India level.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
