Incentive Compensation Analyst

Position Overview

As an Incentive Compensation (IC) Analyst at Syneos Health, you will play a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, and administering incentive compensation programs. This position involves data analysis, quality control, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of IC processes. The role is essential for driving employee engagement through clear and accurate incentive compensation structures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Incentive Compensation Reporting:

    • Implement and maintain programs that track and report on the achievement of employee objectives and goals tied to incentive compensation and bonus programs.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze data, validate reports against plan specifications, and create projections regarding plan performance and potential improvements.

    • Utilize advanced tools like Power BI and Microsoft Excel for report generation, including VBA and Power Pivot reports.

  • Process Management:

    • Provide back-office support for IC services from project initiation to closure, including requirement gathering, timeline development, and quality control of deliverables.

    • Maintain detailed project documentation and administrative records.

  • Collaboration and Consultation:

    • Function as an internal consultant to address compensation-related queries and resolve issues.

    • Coordinate with IC Management and other team members to monitor and review performance metrics.

  • Quality Control:

    • Ensure the accuracy and quality of all IC deliverables through rigorous validation processes.


Essential Requirements

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, computer science, finance/accounting, or a business-related field.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in incentive compensation, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

    • Demonstrated IC reporting experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, including VBA, complex formulas, pivot tables, and Power Pivot reports.

    • Strong understanding of data processing and report generation tools.


Desired Requirements

  • Education:

    • Master’s degree in a directly related field.

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    • Ability to create professional summaries, tables, and visualizations.

    • Knowledge of the cross-departmental impacts of compensation decisions.
