In Vivo Pharmacokinetics (PK) Scientist

Role Overview:
The In Vivo PK Scientist will conduct pharmacokinetic studies in rodents, manage data documentation, and analyze PK results to support drug discovery and development. The role requires expertise in animal models, surgical procedures, and PK data analysis, along with adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in vivo pharmacokinetic studies in rodents, including tissue distribution and collection of biological fluids (CSF, bile, urine, synovial fluid).

  • Perform surgical procedures such as cannulation of jugular, femoral, and portal veins, and chronic bile duct cannulations in rats.

  • Document experimental data accurately using lab notebooks and compound management systems.

  • Analyze pharmacokinetic data using Phoenix WinNonlin and other relevant analytical tools.

  • Support formulation studies for pharmacokinetics, efficacy, and toxicity assessments.

  • Follow and enforce EHS practices within the team and laboratory environment.

  • Adapt to dynamic project requirements, troubleshoot, and resolve experimental challenges.

  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, maintaining professional communication and good work ethics.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • M. Pharm or Ph.D. in Pharmacology or Toxicology.

  • Proven experience conducting in vivo PK studies in an industry setting.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines for drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics.

  • Knowledge of formulations used in PK, efficacy, and toxicity studies.

  • Hands-on experience in tissue collection and surgical techniques in rodents.
