About the Role
VEE Healthtek is seeking Medical Coders, Senior Medical Coders, and QA professionals with experience in same-day surgery coding to join our US healthcare team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day coding operations, ensure compliance with coding standards, and maintain high productivity and quality in coding procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Handle daily operations for same-day surgery coding, including coding and quality assurance.
Assign diagnosis and procedure codes for patient charts using ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT standards.
Adhere to company and client coding compliance policies and guidelines.
Meet service levels while maintaining productivity and quality benchmarks.
Implement feedback from reporting managers to improve performance.
Prepare and maintain status and performance reports.
Support process improvement initiatives and assist in training junior coders when required.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of same-day surgery coding experience.
CPC or COC certification preferred.
Graduate degree in Life Sciences or Medical Sciences.
Strong understanding of ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, and surgical coding standards.
Excellent communication, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to maintain compliance and quality while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience in QA of surgical coding.
Familiarity with US healthcare coding practices and clinical documentation standards.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
