Role Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Copy Editor with 2–4 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare content editing. The role focuses on proofreading, copyediting, and ensuring quality compliance for promotional and scientific materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, familiarity with AMA style, and an understanding of scientific and medical terminologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Proofreading Deliverables

  • Apply business-unit-specific checklists to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Cross-check content between base files and final outputs for style, flow, layout, word choice, grammar, and language.

  • Suggest corrections and improvements using comments in the document.

2. Copyediting Deliverables

  • Edit content for language, style, spelling, grammar, formatting, and consistency to ensure readability.

  • Apply AMA style guide and client-specific editorial standards.

  • Identify sentence restructuring issues and ensure logical presentation aligned with target audiences.

  • Detect data conflicts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries.

  • Ensure content meets quality expectations with minimal guidance.

3. Process Adherence and Compliance

  • Follow organizational, divisional, and client policies for quality, data security, and privacy.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to copyright rules and company norms.

  • Comply with ISMS, ISO, CMMI standards, and client-specific guidelines.

4. Self-Development

  • Enhance editing and proofreading skills through self-learning, training, and mentorship.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team knowledge.

  • Display adaptability and collaborate effectively with multiple functional teams.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience editing pharmaceutical promotional materials.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Familiarity with AMA style guide.

  • Understanding of scientific and medical terminologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with client-specific editorial workflows or tools.

  • Basic knowledge of digital content standards and review processes.
