We are seeking a Junior Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in medical coding principles, knowledge of coding systems like ICD-10 and CPT, and a keen eye for accuracy. Responsibilities
Review and analyze patient medical records for accurate code assignment.
Adhere to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Learn and utilize medical coding software efficiently.
Assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
Stay updated on industry changes and attend training sessions.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of patient information.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Microbiology, Biotechnology, Zoology), Pharmacy (B.Pharm/M.Pharm), Nursing, or related fields.
Experience:
2-3 years of relevant experience preferred, but freshers or candidates with internship experience are also welcome.
Knowledge & Skills:
Familiarity with medical terminology, human anatomy, and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT).
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.
Proficiency in using coding software and electronic health record systems.
