Manager - Consolidation

Position Summary

The Manager - Consolidation is responsible for managing financial consolidation, statutory reporting, accounting operations, financial analysis, compliance, and audit support activities. The role ensures accurate financial reporting under IND AS, US GAAP, and statutory accounting frameworks while supporting month-end close processes, internal controls, business partnering, and continuous improvement initiatives across global finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss statements, and financial schedules.

  • Perform financial consolidation and reporting activities.

  • Review and validate financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Support statutory and management reporting requirements.

Accounting Operations

  • Maintain company accounts, journals, ledgers, and financial records.

  • Manage accounting transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

  • Review accounting entries and reconciliations.

  • Ensure adherence to IND AS, US GAAP, and statutory accounting standards.

Month-End Close & Financial Analysis

  • Lead key activities within the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

  • Perform financial analysis and analytical reviews.

  • Investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support financial planning and reporting activities.

Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal control documentation.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with business partners, finance teams, and external stakeholders on complex accounting matters.

  • Provide accounting analysis and reporting support to management.

  • Maintain strong relationships with serviced business groups.

  • Support decision-making through financial insights and recommendations.

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives.

  • Participate in finance transformation and global process improvement projects.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and controls.

  • Support acquisitions, divestitures, and special finance projects.

Team Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

  • Review work performed by junior colleagues.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for consolidation and accounting processes.

  • Support training and development initiatives within the team.

Educational Qualification

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant post-qualification accounting experience.

  • Experience in multinational accounting environments preferred.

  • Strong exposure to financial reporting and consolidation processes.

  • Experience with statutory accounting and audit support.

  • Knowledge of global accounting frameworks and compliance requirements.
