Key Qualifications
Accuracy-Focused: Ensure materials are consistent and adhere to grammar, punctuation, spelling rules, and style guidelines.
Detail-Oriented: Verify alignment with approved content and maintain format and spacing consistency.
Knowledgeable: Stay updated on FDA, EU, and industry guidelines to ensure compliance.
Collaborative: Work seamlessly with the team to integrate client and medical-legal feedback.
Effective Communicator: Strong written and oral communication skills for clear and precise editorial work.
Responsibilities
Copy, edit, and fact-check materials to maintain consistency with grammar and style guidelines.
Proofread to ensure alignment with approved content and verify format consistency.
Identify copyrighted materials needing permission for reproduction and manage requests.
Collaborate with the team to incorporate feedback from clients and medical-legal reviews.
Utilize project management software effectively and participate in relevant meetings.
Qualifications
Required:
Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing and proficiency in English grammar and AMA style.
Strong knowledge of scientific and medical concepts.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong copyediting abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred:
Familiarity with FDA and EU requirements, ICH regulations, and ISO standards.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Life Sciences, or Clinical Sciences.
7+ years of professional copyediting experience with a track record of maintaining content quality.
Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position requiring extended periods of sitting and frequent computer use. Candidates must maintain a quiet, ergonomic workspace with reliable internet access.
