How you’ll spend your day:
Be qualified by education, experience, and training to assume responsibility for proper conduct of the study.
Before study start:
Comply with all applicable regulations, complete required forms.
Comply with requirements of GCP, EC/Sponsor agreed protocol, Lotus SOP’s, applicable regulatory requirements, and the ethical principles originating from the Declaration of Helsinki.
Read and understand the IB or appropriate drug information prior to study start.
Review and provide timely inputs on the protocol (e.g., dosing information, contraindications, warnings, precautions, adverse events, drug interactions), CRF, ICD, and other required study documents.
Obtain Ethics Committee approval and clarify issues/questions raised by the EC.
Ensure all study personnel are trained on the protocol, study plan, and trial-related duties.
Supervise study-related activities.
Provide timely inputs in protocol and Informed Consent ensuring scientific soundness and clear description of trial activities.
Submit protocol and other study documents to the Ethics Committee as per SOP and commence study only after obtaining IEC and DCGI approval.
Ensure all conditions are fulfilled prior to study commencement in case of conditional IEC approval.
Screening Activities:
Coordinate screening activities at respective clinical centers.
Screen volunteers for clinical studies and decide subject eligibility based on history, physical examination, radiological, electrocardiograph, and laboratory parameters.
Maintain records of screening procedures as per GCP and regulatory requirements.
Counsel and refer subjects with clinically significant abnormalities to appropriate hospitals.
Your experience and qualifications:
MBBS or MD
10+ years of experience in BA/BE studies
