Role Overview
The Attending Consultant – Paediatrics will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient pediatric care across neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. The role involves emergency management, NICU/PICU support, clinical supervision, and participation in academic and research initiatives.

Educational Qualification
MBBS
MD or DNB in Paediatrics from a recognized institution
Valid registration with National Medical Commission (NMC) or relevant State Medical Council
Experience Required
0–3 years of post-MD/DNB clinical experience
Experience in NICU/PICU management preferred
Prior exposure to teaching hospital settings desirable
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care Delivery
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric services
Conduct daily clinical rounds and update treatment plans
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
Attend and manage pediatric and neonatal emergencies
Critical Care & Procedures
Participate in NICU and PICU management
Support ventilator management, neonatal resuscitation, and line insertions
Perform minor procedures and assist in major interventions
Ensure adherence to pediatric life support protocols
Patient Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
Follow infection control protocols and hospital clinical guidelines
Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
Academic & Teaching Responsibilities
Supervise junior residents, interns, and medical students
Participate in departmental seminars, journal clubs, and teaching programs
Contribute to research activities and case presentations
Collaboration & On-Call Duties
Work closely with nursing staff and allied health professionals
Participate in scheduled on-call duties
Engage in multidisciplinary case discussions
Core Competencies
Strong clinical acumen in general pediatrics and neonatology
Knowledge of pediatric emergency and critical care protocols
Effective communication and caregiver counseling skills
