Job Summary
Join the UCLA Health team as a Pharmacy Technician – Investigational Drugs, where your role will directly support cutting-edge clinical research and investigational drug programs. In this vital position, you'll assist in sterile IV and chemotherapy compounding, Pyxis medstation inventory management, drug distribution, and pharmacy operations in a dynamic, research-driven hospital setting. Key Responsibilities
Perform drug distribution duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Support IV and chemotherapy sterile compounding
Maintain and restock Pyxis medstations and ensure timely inventory checks
Handle medication pre-packaging, labeling, and billing processes
Record maintenance including temperature logs and cleaning schedules
Assist in pharmaceutical housekeeping and ensure medication security
Travel to multiple UCLA Health sites as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Valid Pharmacy Technician License (California)
Pharmacy Technician I: Less than 2 years of pharmacy experience
Pharmacy Technician II: 2+ years of pharmacy experience
Hands-on experience in sterile compounding and IV admixture
Familiarity with Pyxis or other automated dispensing systems
Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts
